Pressure Sensitivity Kernel and Travel-Time Gradient for Geoacoustic Parameters Perturbations of Sediment in Shallow Water

Abstract In shallow sea, the effect of geoacoustic characteristics seabed sediments on acoustic propagation cannot be neglected, which is closely related to detection and inversion. Aiming at problem low-frequency propagation, sound pressure sensitivity kernel (PSK) travel-time gradient (TTG) field for parameters sediment were presented by using normal mode model perturbation approximation. Combined with benchmark sea model, numerical simulation was carried out. The results show that PSK velocity are showing some interference pattern in velocity-range plane velocity-frequency plane, its strength attenuated increase range. TTGs have different range, more sensitive mid-range. TTG frequency selectivity.
